My love affair with make-up started as far back as childhood. I remember taking my mum’s lipstick and eye shadow palettes and mixing them together to make unique shades of colours and texture. The desire to learn more about makeup’s transforming power continued into my adult years and fortunately right from the beginning I was able to work with some of Adelaide’s finest photographers, stylists and makeup artists which enabled me to learn the ropes of my trade in the photographic and commercial industry. I became Makeup Director for the Westfield West Lakes fashion parades two years running and I have worked with L’Oreal Australia’s Education Centre for the past 11 years. I was their key makeup artist for colour and product hair shows, working with some of the most influential hairdressers around the country. I have travelled around the globe and when I decided to move to NYC it had broadened my experiences. As my experience working in fashion, editorial and commercial work evolved, I realised that I had a desire to work with everyday girls and women. I wanted to make a real impact with my artistic but also empathetic skills. I decided to become a qualified counsellor and then relaunched my business in 2014 as The Beauty Heartist - helping you find your inner and outer beauty.
